This was one of the top songs in Japan for 2008. It’s kind of like a pep talk for Japan.
The lyrics repeat “Try hard, Japan! Wonderful Japan! You’re such a smart country, Japan,” and similar don’t-give-up type stuff. My favorite part of the song is the list of cultural achievements of which the Japanese people should be proud: instant ramen, canned coffee, and karaoke.
